Join the Pre-Surgery Nutrition Research Study
GEM Health Solutions is conducting a research study to evaluate a nutrition readiness assessment tool for patients preparing for elective surgery. Joining the study is completely free and voluntary.
- A personalized nutrition readiness score (PSRS) calculated from your lab results, body measurements, and dietary intake
- Individualized nutrition recommendations based on your score
- Regular telehealth visits with a Registered Dietitian over 7 to 8 weeks before surgery
- Your de-identified data used for research analysis
Basic eligibility: 18 or older, scheduled for elective surgery at least 4 weeks away, located in Massachusetts.
Participation is voluntary. You will receive the same quality of nutrition counseling whether or not you join the research study. There is no cost to participate in the research portion. This study has been reviewed and approved by Pearl IRB.
